September 10th through 12th, 2010

Hurricane Hermine kissed the lake on Friday night and Saturday morning. I was hoping that it would intensify as it passed over the warm waters of Roberts lake but no. It added about 0.5 inches of rain to make about 1.25 for the week. Not bad. The weather moved northeast and we were left with a cool evening and a crescent moon. There was also a campfire, cigars, Hamm's beer, spam (the good kind, not the Nigerian scam kind) and a peach pie. The trees, they are a-changin'. Sure there's still plenty o' green, but the reds are spreading. As are the yellows and golds. Two to three weeks till peak color. The water is getting colder. The fishermen now outnumber the skiers. It won't be long now until bad golf can be blamed on bulky clothes and snow.

-Nemo was punished for going long on 2.
