| The First Weekend of Summer June 23rd & 24th |

| Amazingly, the mowed creek bed is dry. We need more rain. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Rain! We need it, we got it. Almost 2.5 inches in less than a week. Huzzah! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| There was a dry enough gap in the weather for a deck fire on Saturday night that got a bit bigger than planned. Despite our best efforts, the deck did not burn down. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| An additional quarter inch of rain fell early Sunday morning. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The lake is up a little from the beginning of June and 2 inches since last weekend. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| There be bugs in the northwoods. Lots and lots of bugs. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| A wet week. We need more of 'em. It was surprising that 2.5 inches of rain was not enough to get the creek flowing. The water, in addition to being higher, is at 75℉. Swimming is more of a pleasure rather than a game of dodge ball with hypothermia. The fish on the cribs we visited seem to be fewer in number. The raft was pulled out a little deeper to make for safer diving. A golfball was expertly "stuck" on the raft by a sand wedge between shots at girls and ducks. -Nemo, not the skier of the week. |
