Despite a tenth of an inch of rain, the lake fell about an inch last week. It also dropped about 3°F. Still swimmable, but getting close to brrr. More color can be seen in the trees on the way to Crandon. Over the last few weeks the patches of red and gold leaves were dismissed as the product of stressed trees but with September just days away that argument holds less and less water, sort of like the lake.
