| The rain held off on Saturday afternoon. The water is 69 F and the skiing was great. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Just before sunset on Friday, the sky began to cloud up. For those of us who wished/prayed/danced for rain, this was a good sign. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| It rained. Break out the champagne and snorkels! It rained on and off from Saturday evening until after 2:00 PM on Sunday. On Sunday at 11:30 AM I took this picture of the rain guage and emptied it. That's 1.8 inches for the week and before we left there was over a half inch more. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Later on Saturday afternoon, a look at the radar showed that the showers were falling apart on the other side of the state and would not make it here. Surely, we thought, a second 9 at Nicolet would be in order. After teeing off on 2 for the second time, we were walking to the balls when struck by large, cold raindrops. By the time we got to our shots, we picked 'em up and ran for the club house. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Rain, it's what's for Dinner. And Breakfast. And Lunch. The creek in the northeast corner of the lake is flowing in again. Forecasts for this week call for more showers and thunderstorms with over 2 more inches predicted by Wednesday morning. If this keeps up we'll have to move the boat lift in a few feet, a task that I'll do with a smile on my snorkeled face. -Nemo's rain dance looks a lot like a polka. |
