Post-Peak Color Weekend
October 5th through 7th
When entering the northwoods after 9:00 PM during the summer, there is still a bit of light left in the sky.  The only light this time of year came from a full moon.  It was cool too.
On Friday morning, the Lady of the Lake, her arms clad in the purest, shimmering samite, held aloft "Excalibur" signifing, by Divine right, that I was to be king of the golf course!
As the sun set that day, it was all to clear that strange women lying in ponds distributing golf balls is no way to predict success on the course.  The weather however, was quite lovely.
Many of the trees had lost most of there leafs, but some were still at "Peak Color".

The lake was very rough all weekend.  Most of the docks and lifts are out.  The water temperature is in the 50's (F) and the lake level is still dropping: -10 inches WRT the nail.  Even with snow predicted for later this week, it was still hard to leave.
