Forest County Maple Syrup Festival Weekend
April 21 & 22
We made it up Friday just before sunset.  The lake was a cold mirror but the air was around 60 F.  Not bad for this time of year.
The town was full of low-key excitement on Saturday morning with the anticipation of the maple syrup festival.  Most of the stir took the form of this banner over main street.
Grandma always warned me to stay away from lake Metonga.  Now we know why.
The less said about the actual festival the better.  I will note that there were no sock monkeys.
The webcam continues to gather images and download them.  Rogue power is helping me get it "live" in the next few months.  The water sensor was put into the lake.  It's in the detailed weather section under the name "ground temperature".
The lake level has stabilized at 2.5 inches below the nail.  We continue to need rain and lots of it.

The next time we're up boats will hit the water along with lifts, pier and raft.  I can only hope the lake temperature is higher than the 44 F it was during the weekend.
