Dive #4

Dive 5 »

July 28, 2003

The dive started at about 25 feet and headed west. The bottom started out silty but soon changed to sand and rock. The rule in this lake is "where there is sand there are clams". This bay proved no exception. The second rule is "where there are debris there are fishing lures". We're finding more cans than during previous years. If anyone is putting cans in the lake to increase the lake level please stop. The volume of an empty can will not help. We came across a big rock near the end of the dive. It's hard to get a feel for the size of this boulder from the picture. It was about 2 meters long and 1.5 meters high. The area explored was surprisingly void of fish. No smallmouth swam with us and I did not see any panfish.

-Nemo
