The week started with a little weather. It turned out to be more of an unrealized threat of weather. We could really use some rain.

Clouds grew and some rain fell all around Monday's ski show. Very little touched the lake.

More fell overnight. We got about two tenths of an inch on the north end of Lucerne.

Local ducks seemed happy with the rain, but we need more.

Before the night rain, Monday's ski show had a light-ish crowd and even a little sun.

There was some skiing, too.

Just west of Schaefer's there's a small field where items of interest are sold. This dump trailer has been for sale for months. I thought it would spice up bar nights by making it into a "Ride" by adding a festive paint job and a few Christmas lights.

After Mrs Nemo listed a few legal issues and affronts to common sense, the "Dumpinator" will not be adding merriment and injury to what could have been epic bar nights.

Wednesday's ski show had no threatening weather. It did have less heat, more sun, and a bigger crowd.

There were some great acts, too.

Despite the recent rain deficit, the raspberries are going nuts on the side of roads, yards, and shorelines.

Burdock is doing well also.

An event filled Saturday started with the LLAA's 5K-ish run/walk

Almost 100 runners sped off to the boat landing at 9:00 AM.

Those of us that confined our training to Wednesday afternoon finished, but not in the top ten.

A short time later "Kentuk Day" kicked off its one day run in Crandon.

The festival includes a car show.

Some of the cars were bluer than others.

It was better attended than the aerials would suggest.

At the end of the week, more weather began to move in.

I was going to charge 25 cents a ride, but you could get a wrist band for a buck and ride all night. Alas, it was not to be. Whether a non-event counts as an event is best pondered by set theory guys, so I'll drop it despite the gnawing dissappointment. The LLAA run/walk went well and was over all too quickly. And we had our best time ever! There's talk of adding Tuesday to our training schedule next year. With its many fine exhibits and food items, more time was spent at Kentuck Day than was planned. It doesn't make sense, but all the training, events, and the great weather are making for long weeks that pass by too quickly.<br><br><br>-Nemo: Friend of the lake, enemy of the squirrel, inventor of the "Dumpinator".
