On Friday, hours before we were to leave for the lake, a key server died at our place of work. I was tasked with ordering flowers, giving a brief eulogy (consisting mostly of curses) and making burial arrangements. Also getting a replacement up before Monday morning. After a very long Saturday, the new server was happy and we made it to the northwoods.
Sunday morning was bright and cool. The lake level is falling. No real rain in the last 2 weeks has dried up the inflows and given back any gains the lake made during the wet September. Boo.
