Middle of May Weekend
May 15th through 17th
The lake was angry, the wind strong, and the golf bogey-rific on Friday, but there was rain/cabinet repair at night (0.3 inches/glue and clamps).
The rain before Friday was just over a half an inch.  We really could have used more, but I'm thankful for what we got.
By Saturday morning, the rain had tapered off...to snow flurries.  No, wait, I didn't say that right. SNOW FLURRIES!  That's better, but it doesn't have the incredulous inflection it should have.  I'll try one more time: SNOW FLURRIES?! Better. Still missing the subtle horror though.
Despite the cold (SNOW FLURRIES!?!), plants are plodding on as if it were spring or something.  Trees should be fully greened by next weekend 'cept for the trees in front of the bar.  They'll still be dead and making xxLt all chainsawy.
The trillium should be fading by next weekend, but for now they cover the forest floor.
Spring flowers are everywhere.
Mrs. Nemo's car rolled over to 200,000 miles just after leaving the lake on Sunday!  No one was injured.
Sunday was much better weather-wise.  No snow was encountered during the first lawn mowing of the year.

Sunday gave us hope that summer will someday come.  That day may be several weeks away, but we should see it.  Just keep telling yourself that.

Conversation after leaving Taco John's on Sunday night.

Mrs Nemo: "You got a burrito!"

Nemo: "Yeah."

Mrs Nemo: "It sure smells good."

Nemo: "You wouldn't like it, I put hot sauce on it."

Mrs Nemo, in a small voice: "I like hot sauce."

Nemo, sensing that his burrito is in danger, lies: "I also spit on it"

Mrs Nemo: "I don't care."

Nemo: "Give me that burrito you!"
