Ski Weekend III
February 13th through 15th
We got back to the lake just in time for sunset.  The days, they be getting longer, and I likes it.  Later, we went to the old Mallard's on Metonga for supper.  The food was as good as always and the 446 year old bar is very cool.
On Saturday, moments after the lifts started, we were on the hills of Ski Brule.  The snow was good and the lines not so long.
The northern Bottle Rocket War fort is hurting and will need some major work if it is ever to be used again.
The southern forts are in even worse shape.
Just when it seemed we would never make it to the lake juice, the drill broke through.
Making a hole in the ice gets rough this time of year if you only have a manual hole maker.
There's 20 inches of very good ice covering the lake.
The snow was only about an inch deep on the lake, making it time to start the lake golf season.  My naturally crummy swing combined with bulky clothes and bad lies lead to unseasonably ugly golf.
Bad golf for me anyway.  Mrs Nemo had no problems laying stick to ball.
She even managed her first hole-in-one of the season.

We'll be back in 3 weeks to get some final skiing in and hopefully some better lake golf.
