Second Weekend in July
July 10th through 13th
The wildlife on the north end was divided into two camps this weekend.  There were the eagles, looking for food...
And the food hiding from eagles.  I'm not sure if toad is part of a balanced eagle diet, but this guy was not taking any chances.
The Hotel Crandon is for sale!  For somewhere around the mid 6 figures this major piece of Forest county history could be yours.  This unique opportunity will not last long, so act today!
The for sale status of the Hotel and general up-northness was toasted with some dear friends on Saturday night.  All that layered shot practice during the spring really paid off.
The radishes are in!  The shortness of the growing season this year (it got warm just about what, 3 weeks ago?) made it the crop of choice.  Still looking for a drink that is garnished with a radish.  Maybe something involving tequila.
The golfballs are in! Collecting the golfball harvest after chipping them onto the raft is a Mr & Mrs Nemo favorite.

We are finally getting a bit of rain and the lake, while still down, is holding its own.  The water temperature is close to 70 F making swimming for up to 1 hour just on the happy side of hypothermic.  The 18th Annual Lake Lucerne Bottle Rocket War is just over 6 months away (January 24, 2009 at 7:00 PM).
