First June Weekend
June 1st through 3rd
The fish were biting (as were the bugs) when we arrived late Friday.  We bagged 15 panfish and lost about a pint of blood in less than a half hour.
The lake is still low. We need much rain to bring it back from it's current level of 14 inches below the nail.  A bit of rain fell Saturday morning, then the skies became partly cloudy.
After more yard and cabin work than I would have liked we were rewarded with a great northwoods sunset.
The webcam continues to work well.  It has been back for over a year now and I think it should have a name.  Something simple.  Like Bob.  Or HAL. But better than that.  Email me your suggestions if you can think of a good one.
Construction continues to move along at Timber Shores. I found the contrast between the new structures and cabin 2 (the little orange one on the right) stark. I did not get to take more pictures due to the...
Rain! It chased us from Forest county with it's extraordinary magnitude.

Not the kind of sky you want to see while fishing.  or skiing.  or anything that requires you to be outside.  Almost 2 inches of rain pounded the area from mid Sunday until Monday morning.  With all the surrounding inflows, the lake could go up over 3 inches.  More is predicted this week.  I hope we get it.
