| The weather was what we've come to expect from this year, marvelous. Temperatures were a bit higher than normal with a friendly breeze from the south. |
| Peak color has arrived, finally. Not much red this year but lots of golds, yellows and browns. |
| Heavy dew prevented all who fear damp pants from hiking in the tall grass. |
| We found a woodpecker pecking at some weeds for bugs. |
| Meg finds big nut! 11+ years after marrying him she then found this large acorn. |
| Chicken wild rice soup at Duck's! I would like to thank all the electors who voted for this soup. I believe it was due to your efforts that this tasty selection was made available during golf weekend. Some cynics may say that voting doesn't matter but I think this will definitively suppress that notion. |
| The lake is now 10 inches above the
nail! In the past it has gone down before ice-in so this may be the
peak level for the year. |
