| Ice-Out Weekend April 2nd through 4th |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The warm air blowing over the cold surface produced some highly localized fog near the shore. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| On Friday, after some so-so golf, we witnessed the last of the lake ice being beaten up and pushed on shore by a strong southerly wind. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| As the last of the ice faded away, it was time for one of the last syrup filtering hootenannies to be held on the north end of the lake. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Much rain was expected/hoped for on the weekend. After the clouds passed we got maybe a 20th of an inch. The inlet stream in the northeast corner of the lake is dry. The lake really needs rain. Two yards ought to do it. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Two (or more?) eagles were circling the north end of the lake all weekend. They were squawking and eyeing each other in either a "Dude, get out of my space" way or a "Hey baby" way. I can't tell and frankly I don't want to know. Many ducks were quacking "Hey baby" on the north end of Lucerne. You Ducks! Get a room! -Nemo |
