Saturday morning was a frosty and quiet one. As the last of the melting hoarfrost dripped on the heads and backs of thousands of deer hunters, we donned blaze orange sweatshirts and went golfing. (Golfing! In November! In Northern Wisconsin! What a great late fall!)
Bar-night on Saturday was well attended due, in no small part, to 4 different kinds of soups and babyback ribs. There was also pool, beverages, twice baked potatoes, bar rail bowling, and a cigar that was described by some as, "A solid medium bodied cigar, filled with complex earth flavors and a pleasent coffee ground taste. It was also very smooth." One deer hunter was quoted as calling it "Stinky". Philistine.
