Peak Color (or close to it) Weekend

Next »

October 2nd through 4th, 2009

The weather has been better in the past this time of year. A little rain made golf damp, but did not really interfere with taking the last of the lifts out of the 62°F water. Peak color? Well... Sort of. Some trees were quite green and others were without leaves. I'm not sure that this year really had a "peak" color day. The last of the golf for the year saw Mrs Nemo shoot a 3 over par 38 on the front nine on Sunday . Lt should have quit the game after his 4 over par 39 on Saturday. I should have just caddied all weekend for the others that knew which end of the club to hold. The bar night that followed Saturday's chores and links had cigars! Flaming drinks! And bar rail bowling! The summer that took its sweet time getting here, has left all too swiftly. The snow fences are going up at the golf course and frost is becoming less rare and more expected. Watch for the second Knottlane Ice-In contest on the main page. I'll try to have it up by the end of October if not sooner.

-Nemo
