| Saturday was full of sun and chores. Later, after golfing my personal best front 9 (39!) at Nicolet and just after sunset, the space station passed over. Two drinks and a cigar later (about 90 minutes), it passed over again. The first pass was the best (it was brighter/longer/less Seagramsy). | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Dew! Okay, it's not as good as rain, but it is as close to precipation as we have gotten this month. So...Dew! The lake needs buckets of rain though. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The leagues are over, so there was open bar rail bowling both on Friday and Saturday nights at the bar. There were free lanes, we missed you. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I'd say the trees are between 10% and 20% of peak color. Apogee should be about 2 weeks away. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| No skiing was to be had. The roughness of the water caused by the many high speed ducks made the lake un-ski-able by all but the most experienced skiers. We also did not have a boat in. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The webcam continues to function well. That's all I have to say about that. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The weather this weekend was some of the best ever all summer. It was hot. You don't hear that about the Lake Lucerne area much. Not this year anyway. We came across the largest school of bass seen in years while diving on Sunday. There were maybe 12 of them with the biggest going well over 5 pounds. We'll be back to count the bass and dodge the ducks next weekend. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
