Figure 8 Barefoot Tournament Weekend

Next »

August 21st through 23rd , 2009

The weather on Saturday was good and bad for the Figure 8 Barefoot Tournament. The lack of rain and the air temperature were good. The wind was not. Many, I am told, had trouble stepping off due to rough water. Saturday night was clear and cool, much like the lake. The bar was opened on Saturday and that Joe guy was there over-serving. The most disturbing thing is than I am developing a taste for "Hog Master" (think Jagermeister only "better"). Relax, it's just a primer coating. I'm told that it will be back to yellow again in the future (though there was some talk of purple.) The Accuweather forecast is getting cooler. The first week in September was predicted to be in the 80's°F. Then the 70's°F. Then the 60's°F. I had hoped that summer, having finally arrived after the first week in August, would stay a while. Guess not. Lets hope fall brings more rain(/snow?) to bring that lake level up and give us all a chance to get boats off lifts.

-Nemo
