Saturday, August 9th was the day the O'Keefe Triathlon was held. Not wanting a hot, sweaty death, I participated by snapping a few pictures of those that are in far better shape/younger than I.
The ski show on Wednesday was great, as were all the shows this year.
The perseids were good this year. The moon washed out the dimmer ones, but there were plenty of brighter meteors. Mrs Nemo saw 26 on Thursday night, two days after the shower peaked.
The lake got rain! 0.8 inches overnight mid-week! I think the boat will come off the lift without too much trouble for one more week. We need more rain.
The week was hot, but signs of autumn were around.
The wind picked up later in the week. Krispa won the "Gilligan of the Northwoods" title while sailing the north end of the lake despite not having that goofy, white hat.
Crandon celebrated it's 100th anniversary on Saturday. The parade was impressive and largely void of creepy clowns.
The UW marching band played in the parade and again on the courthouse lawn. To say they were good would be an understatement. They were fantastic.
